This song is a little funny to me because these aren't lyrics I would typically write lol. At the time of writing this song I was listening to blackbear and songs with a lot of profanity lol. I guess it rubbed off on me a little at the time and I wanted to try to write a song in a similar vein. I was also rewatching Breaking Bad at the time and that reminded me of how much I love Jane lol. So I was listening to harder music and watching a show about drugs so that’s the type of vibe I was inspired by at the time. I started writing from the perspective of what love would be like if I was in the same situation as Jesse and Jane from Breaking Bad and that's what I went with. I think it’s important to come out of your comfort zone and that’s what I tried to do with this song. I don't typically write saucy, sexy lyrics lol but I think it came out pretty catchy.

I also wanted to add a subtle message to myself with this song. I’ve always fought with the thought that I’m never good enough. Sometimes I feel that I’m not a good enough musician and there’s millions of other people better than me. Sometimes I’m afraid that I’ll never achieve what I want to with music. I was so sick of having those negative thoughts about myself that I wanted to write a few lines that talked myself up. A few lines to remind me how far I’ve come and how much I’ve accomplished. So that's what the first verse is about. I hope you enjoy the song!
