This song is another one that’s influenced by a band that changed my life as a kid. Mayday Parade had a huge influence on my life in my teenage years. Specifically their album A Lesson in Romantics. This album got me through so many hard times and also brought so many good times along with it. From breakups, to good times with my best friends, this album helped shape who I am today.
 
I feel growing up I spent a lot of time putting myself down, and thinking I'm not good enough. From the way that I looked, to playing a sport and everything in between. With everything I did, I never seemed to have the confidence to think I could do something successfully, or well enough to my liking. That energy is toxic, and it’s something I’m trying so hard to get rid of. I want to believe that I can do anything, and I want to be proud of whatever it is I do in my life. I want to look in the mirror and be proud and so fucking happy to see the person I am. So that’s what I wanted to write a song about. A song to remind myself that I am worth it, I am good enough. I can do anything I want to do, and I have the confidence to love who I am. I deserve to feel good about my life, and so do you.
